An unidentifiable, yet clearly vagrant man counts all the 원’s (Korean Won) to his name with his sleeping tarp folded underneath his arms. If you can see/read this, that means you’ve got access to a computer/internet and possibly a roof above your head. We forget how fortunate we are, and how easy it becomes to forget all the simple commodities in our lives.
It was Andrew’s 2nd to last weekend here in Seoul. The mission briefing was simple. Our plan was to check out the weirdest places possible. After a few drinks at an old-fashioned Korean bar, we prowled through the near-empty alleyways, unaware of what obscurities laid ahead. As we continued our trek through these grimy backstreets, I began to realize how seedy Seoul was at night. Perhaps prostitution is prevalent and just as inconspicuous during the day in any other metropolis.
